Q:  Cannot Install Skyscape Application/Reader - Install Blocked

A:   Some carriers block the installation of 3rd Party Software not purchased from the Android Market.    You may see a message similar to the one below:

                                       Install Blocked

     For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market.

To turn this off go to:

  • Settings
  • Applications
  • Put a check in the box for Unknown Sources

If your carrier is AT&T and you have the Samsung Captivate you will not have the option to allow installations from Unknown Sources.  This is a restriction of  your carrier.  After the free Skyscape Application/Reader is installed from the Android Market, resources can be purchased and installed from www.skyscape.com.
